The "A new version is available" update prompt
What the update banner means, when it appears, and how to reload safely.
When a new version of Signal PlayBook AI is deployed, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen: "A new version is available. Reload now to get the latest features and fixes."
What triggers the prompt
The prompt appears automatically when the platform detects that your current tab is running an older version. This can happen shortly after opening the app, when you switch back to a tab that has been in the background, or when another open tab detects the update first.
Reloading safely
- If you are mid-draft: the report form auto-saves continuously, so a reload will not lose your draft.
- If you are filling in another form (e.g. admin settings): save or submit your work before clicking Reload now.
Dismissing the prompt
Click × to dismiss the banner and finish what you are doing. The prompt will reappear the next time the tab becomes active if the update is still pending.
Reloading keeps you on the same page. The new version takes effect immediately and you can continue where you left off.
