What is Recognition?
An overview of the recognition system: leaderboard, achievements, Wall of Fame, and the nomination workflow.
Signal PlayBook AI includes a recognition layer that celebrates consistent, high-quality performance. It has three interconnected parts: a performance leaderboard, an achievements badge system, and a public Wall of Fame.
Recognition periods
Recognition is structured around three period types: monthly, quarterly, and annual. Each period has a corresponding employee award (Employee of the Month, Quarter, and Year).
How nominations work
Nominations can be generated in two ways:
- AI Nominations: an Admin or COS triggers the AI to analyse the current leaderboard scores and automatically nominate the top contributors for a selected period.
- Manual Nominations: an Admin or COS creates a recognition directly, choosing the recipient, period, title, and citation.
The workflow
- 1Nominated: the recognition is created (by AI or manually) and enters the queue.
- 2Confirmed: an Admin reviews and confirms the nomination, optionally editing the title or citation.
- 3Published: the Admin publishes it. The recognition appears on the Wall of Fame and the recipient earns an employee award badge.
- 4Rejected: if a nomination is not suitable, an Admin rejects it with an optional reason. Rejected nominations do not appear on the Wall of Fame.
Feature gates
The leaderboard, Wall of Fame, and achievements can each be independently enabled or disabled by an Admin in Admin → Settings → Recognition. If any feature is disabled, it is hidden from all users.
Users can click any @mention chip in a published recognition citation to visit that person's profile page. If achievements are enabled, the profile shows the badges they have earned.
