Connecting your Microsoft account

Link your Microsoft 365 account to enable Microsoft sign-in and Outlook calendar sync.

3 min read

You can link your Microsoft 365 work account to your Signal PlayBook profile from Profile → Account → Connected accounts. Once linked, you can sign in using either your email and password or your Microsoft account, and your Outlook calendar meetings appear as suggestions on the Daily Memo.

How to connect

  1. 1Go to Profile → Account.
  2. 2Scroll to the Connected accounts section.
  3. 3Click Connect next to Microsoft / Outlook.
  4. 4Sign in with your Microsoft account and grant the requested permissions.
  5. 5You are returned to your profile with the connection confirmed.

What it enables

  • Microsoft sign-in: use "Sign in with Microsoft" on the login page instead of typing your password.
  • Outlook calendar suggestions: today's Outlook meetings appear as one-tap chips on the Daily Memo work log.
  • Report deadline reminder: when you start a new weekly report draft, a calendar event is automatically created in your Outlook as a reminder of the submission due date.

Signing in with Microsoft

After linking, the login page shows a "Sign in with Microsoft" button. Both sign-in methods (Microsoft and email+password) remain available, so you can use either one at any time.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect in the Connected accounts section of Profile → Account. Disconnecting removes the link immediately. Microsoft sign-in will no longer work, and Outlook suggestions stop appearing on the Daily Memo. Your Signal PlayBook account and all its data are unaffected.

After disconnecting, confirm you can sign in with your email and password before closing the browser. If you have never set a password, contact your Admin.

The Microsoft email used for linking must match your Signal PlayBook account email address. You cannot link a different Microsoft account.
