CC recipients

How Heads of Office grant passive report access and submission notifications to additional recipients.

3 min read

CC recipients are users who receive submission notifications and read access to a specific staff member's reports, without being that person's manager or holding a special designation. The concept is similar to putting someone in copy on an email: they see everything but are not in the reporting chain.

Who can set CC recipients

Only the Head of Office can assign CC recipients, and only for staff within their own office. Admins and Chiefs of Staff also have access through the standard Admin → Users page.

How to add or remove a CC recipient

  1. 1Go to Admin → Users.
  2. 2Find the staff member whose reports you want to share.
  3. 3Click the mail icon (CC) in their row.
  4. 4Use the recipient picker to add users from anywhere in the organisation.
  5. 5Remove a recipient by clicking the × on their chip.
  6. 6Click Save to apply changes.

What CC recipients can do

  • View all reports submitted by the staff member they are CC'd on.
  • Receive an in-app and email submission notification each time that staff member submits a report (subject to their own notification preferences).
  • They cannot edit, comment on, or take any action on those reports beyond reading them unless they already have access through another role (e.g. manager, COS).

Notifications on changes

  • Added: the newly added CC recipient is notified in-app that they now have access. The staff member (report author) is also notified, listing who was added.
  • Removed: the removed recipient is notified that their access has ended. The staff member is notified that the recipient was removed.

CC is deduplication-aware. If a CC recipient is also the staff member's manager, Head of Office, or Chief of Staff, only one submission notification is sent rather than two.

Multiple CC recipients

A staff member can have any number of CC recipients. There is no per-user limit. Each recipient receives the same access independently.
