Exempting a user from report submission

How Admins mark a user as exempt so they are excluded from submission rates and reminders.

2 min read

Some users, typically those close to executive leadership, should not be required to submit weekly reports. Admins can mark any user as exempt from report submission from their profile in Admin → Users → Edit.

What exemption does

  • The user is excluded from submission rate calculations across all dashboards (CEO, Chief of Staff, Head of Office, and team views).
  • The user does not receive deadline reminders or overdue reminder emails.
  • The user does not count as "missing" in any office or org-wide submission stats.
  • Deadline-change notifications are not sent to exempt users.

What exemption does not do

  • Exempt users can still submit reports voluntarily. Their submissions are recorded normally and their personal dashboard reflects their report history.
  • Exemption does not affect any other platform access or permissions.
  • Managers can still view an exempt user's staff insight page and any submitted reports as usual.

How to set or remove exemption

  1. 1Go to Admin → Users.
  2. 2Find the user and click Edit.
  3. 3Toggle the "Exempt from report submission" switch.
  4. 4Save. The change takes effect immediately.

Exempt users display an "Exempt" badge in the staff list and on their individual staff insight page, so managers always know the missing submission is intentional.

Exemption is per-user, not per-role or per-office. Each user must be individually marked exempt by an Admin.
