Submitting a report for a past week

How back-dated submissions work and the admin setting that controls them.

3 min read

When back-dated submissions are enabled by an Admin, staff members can submit a report for a previous week directly from the dashboard or the My Reports page.

How to submit a back-dated report

  1. 1Click New Report from the dashboard or the My Reports page.
  2. 2Use the ‹ › arrow buttons in the modal header to navigate to the week you want to submit for.
  3. 3Fill in the report as normal and submit.

What happens when you select a week

The modal checks whether you already have a report for the selected week and responds accordingly:

  • No report yet: the blank form opens so you can fill it in and submit.
  • Draft in progress: your existing draft is loaded so you can continue and submit it.
  • Already submitted: the form is replaced by a confirmation panel showing the week and a View Report button. You cannot create a second report for the same week.

Rules and limits

  • Only weeks that have already ended can be selected. You cannot pre-fill a future week.
  • The Admin can set a maximum number of weeks in the past (e.g. 4 weeks). Setting this to 0 means unlimited.
  • Back-dated reports are always flagged as late since they were submitted after the original deadline.

If the week picker does not appear in the New Report modal, back-dated submissions have not been enabled for your organisation. Contact your Admin.
