Using @mentions in your report
How to mention colleagues, who gets notified, and how access grants work when enabled.
The @mention system is how you loop in colleagues, share context, and trigger notifications, all without leaving your report.
How to mention someone
Type @ in any report text field or discussion input. An autocomplete dropdown appears showing org members. Start typing a name to filter, then click or press Enter to insert the mention chip.
What happens when you mention someone
- They receive an in-app notification (and optionally an email).
- If @mention access is enabled in Admin → Settings → Submission Rules, they also gain read access to the entire report and receive a direct link to it.
- The mention chip is rendered as an interactive tag; readers can click through to that person's profile.
Deduplication
Repeated mentions of the same person are deduplicated. If access was already granted, it is not re-applied.
@mentions work in report fields, discussion comments, replies, and edits. When access is granted, it is persistent. Revoking the setting later does not remove existing grants.
